James Garner is a net-leased retail specialist in the firm’s Tampa, Florida office. He specializes in shopping centers and single-tenant, net-lease retail properties across national markets with a specific focus on the food service sector of Quick-Service and Full-Service Restaurants across the Southeastern United States. With a previous focus on multi-tenant retail shopping centers in Florida, James understands the intricacies of all types of retail assets. Always a student of the business, James strives to be a leader in industry knowledge and an expert in restaurant net-leased properties and shopping centers with a strong restaurant anchored tenant mix. Prior to his focus on food service assets, James had a focus on multi-tenant shopping centers across Florida markets, which has given him significant insight and expertise across both multi-tenant and single tenant retail properties.

James graduated from Purdue University with focuses in sales management, organizational leadership, and entrepreneurship. His long-term relationship based approach to every real estate transaction allows James to build life-long clients and employ a legacy planning program that helps his clients strategically diversify their equity over a long period of time. This long-term legacy planning allows his clients to maximize their investment dollars by taking advantage of market trends, emerging restaurant concepts, guidance around leasing structures and market rental rates. James always has his client’s best interests at heart, which is why he never recommends his clients sell unless it makes holistic sense with the rest of their investment strategy. Outside of a transaction, James regularly feeds his clients valuable information about the market throughout their hold period in order to help them execute on their investment strategy, maximize the value of their assets, and proactively navigate the inevitable risks involved with real estate investment.
